Privacy Policy
SNAP 7 ("we", "us", or "our") is a social media management tool operated by Bradley Forsyth, doing business as SNAPPS Apps (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using SNAP 7 at snap7.netlify.app, you agree to this policy.
1. What We Collect
When you create an account and connect your social media platforms, we collect:
- Account information: Your email address and name
- Platform credentials: Access tokens or app passwords for the platforms you connect (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, Mastodon) and, in Business Sales mode, the selling platforms you connect (eBay, Etsy, Reverb)
- Post content: Captions, media URLs, and scheduling preferences you enter
- Post history: A record of posts you've sent through SNAP 7
- Artist profile: Name, genre, bio, and profile image you provide
We do not collect payment information, physical addresses, or any data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to operate SNAP 7:
- To authenticate your account and keep you signed in
- To post content to social media platforms on your behalf, using only the platforms you explicitly connect
- To display your post history within the app
- To personalize your artist profile
We do not sell, rent, share, or trade your personal data or social media credentials with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. How We Store Your Data
Your account data and platform tokens are stored securely using Netlify Blobs, a cloud storage service provided by Netlify, Inc. Data is stored in encrypted form and is only accessible by SNAP 7's backend functions.
Media files you upload are stored via Cloudinary (cloudinary.com) using your upload preset. Cloudinary's privacy policy applies to those files.
4. Social Media Platform Data
When you connect a platform (such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok), that platform grants SNAP 7 an access token. We use this token only to post content on your behalf. We do not access your followers, messages, contacts, or any data beyond what is required to publish posts.
Each platform's own privacy policy also applies when you connect it:
4b. "Your Voice" — importing your own Facebook / Instagram posts (optional)
If you choose to, you can give SNAP 7 the "Download Your Information" file that Facebook or Instagram lets you download about your own account. Here is exactly what happens:
- The file is opened on your own device. It is never uploaded to us. Only the captions of your own posts and reels (with their date and platform) are sent to SNAP 7.
- We never open your private messages. Message, inbox and chat folders are skipped before anything in them is read. We also skip comments, friends and followers, searches, locations, contacts, likes, saved items and ad data.
- Other people are removed. @usernames, email addresses, phone numbers and links are stripped out of your captions before they leave your device.
- What we use it for: to build a short "voice profile" describing how you write (tone, slang, emojis, hashtags, length, themes), so SNAP 7's AI writing helpers sound like you. It is used only for your own account — never shared with other artists, never sold.
- You're in control: you can switch the voice profile off at any time, and "Delete my imported data" in Settings erases every imported caption and the profile immediately.
4c. AI assistants you connect (such as Muse)
You can choose to connect SNAP 7 to an AI assistant, such as Meta's Muse, so you can ask it to create or schedule posts for you. Here is exactly how that works:
- You sign in on a SNAP 7 page. The assistant never sees your SNAP 7 password or the logins for your social media platforms.
- What the assistant can do: see your SNAP 7 name, plan and which platforms are connected; see the posts you made or scheduled through SNAP 7; and create, schedule or cancel posts to your connected platforms when you ask it to.
- What it cannot do: it cannot see or change your password, your platform logins, your payment details or any other artist's account.
- What we keep: a record that the connection exists (when it was made and last used), and the posts it creates, exactly like posts you make in the app. Posts made this way count toward your plan's monthly post limit.
- You're in control: disconnect at any time in SNAP 7 under Settings → AI Assistant (Muse), or in the assistant itself. Disconnecting stops its access immediately.
- What you say to the assistant is handled by the company that provides it, under its own privacy policy (for Muse, Meta's privacy policy).
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your data from our systems within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Disconnect any social media platform at any time through the Settings tab
- Disconnect any AI assistant (such as Muse) at any time in Settings → AI Assistant (Muse)
- Revoke SNAP 7's access directly through each platform's app settings
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
7. Children's Privacy
SNAP 7 is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of SNAP 7 after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
